This municipally-owned ski hill offers residents and visitors to Juneau a convenient, reasonably priced place to ski and snow board. Thirty-one alpine runs encompass open snowfields, bowls, and glades. Eight kilometers of Nordic trails are covered with an annual average snowfall of 200 to 300 inches.
The 640-acre area also boasts a terrain park and lighted slopes for night skiing. In the evenings Eaglecrest offers turbo-tubing. A small lift carries riders to the top of a designated slope. The ride down is definitely exhilarating!
